Avoiding High Pressure Sales Tactics (Roofing, Siding, Windows)

When in the market for a new roof, siding, gutters or windows we encourage you to get several estimates and weigh your options. Be leery of companies using "High Pressure Sales Tactics". You know, the ones who offer a higher price only to drastically reduce it, but only if you "sign today". Don't fall for this trap!


ABC Roofing wants you to be comfortable with our sales team and do not encourage such tactics. Never be pressured into signing the same day. Do your research!


Things to avoid:


"If you sign today" They are likely pressuring you so you have little time to thoroughly read the contract or research the company in hopes that you will sign something that you are not completely comfortable with.


"We offer a better product" Not likely. They will tell you that their product is superior, show you data and sound convincing. Do your own research. Most products are about the same. Quality installation and warranties are what make the difference.


"I know how you feel" Most often, they will try to make you feel like thier friend. Are they really concerned about you and your family or just thier bottom line? Research the company, look up reviews and ask for refereences. If they are not willing to provide references then you may want to think before using them.


"This is a one time offer" Probably not. This is to make you feel pressured in hopes that you will not make an educated decision. Ask for more time and see what happens.
